Age Limit: Candidate age must be between 18 to 40 years as on 01-01-2012. Relaxation of upper age for the reserved category and Exempted Category candidates shall be as per the existing Rules of the State Government.

Educational Qualification: Candidate must possess Higher Secondary under the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or Higher Secondary pass under the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education Regulations 2002 or Higher Secondary pass under the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and Diploma in Education (Special Education) or Graduation and two year Diploma in Elementary Education or Ability to read, write and speak in the language relating to the medium for which the candidate wishes to apply.

Application Fee Details: Candidates need to pay Rs. 100/- (Rs. 25/- for SC/ST) for obtaining Information Booklet-cum-Application Form. The Information Booklet-cum-Application Form will be available from different banks branches/ CLRCs (North 24 Parganas) during the usual banking hours from 16-11-2012 to 30-11-2012.

Selection Procedure: Candidates will be selected on the basis of TET, Extra Curricular Activities and Viva-Voce/ Interview.

How to Apply: Eligible candidates may apply through prescribed application format, which was available in the different bank branches/ CLRCs. Filled up Application Forms should be submitted in the same branch on or before 30-11-2012 from which application has been collected.
