Karnataka High Court Recruitment 2012 – District Judge Vacancies: Karnataka High Court has issued notification against direct recruitment of 17 District Judge Vacancies. Karnataka High Court Vacancy Details:

Total Number of Vacancies: 17

Name of the Post: District Judges

Age Limit: Candidate age must be below 45 years for General Category and 48 for SC/ST Category. Cutoff date for determining age limit would be 31-12-2012.

Educational Qualification: Candidate must possess degree in law granted by a University established by law in India, must be practicing as an Advocate in the High Court or in a Subordinate Court on the last date fixed for receipt of Applications and must have so practiced for a period not less than Seven years as on such date.

Examination Fee Details: Applicants need to pay examination fee of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 750/- for SC/ST/Cat-I candidates). The fee should be remitted into any of the State Government Treasuries under the Head “0070-Other Administrative Services-01-501-0-03-Examination Fees” and the original Treasury receipt obtained thereof should be sent along with the application.

Application Fee Details: Application form can be obtained from the office of the Registrar General, High Court of Karnataka, Bangalore, on payment of Rs. 100/- in the form of Crossed Indian Postal Order, payable in favour of the  Registrar General, Principal Bench, High Court of Karnataka, Bangalore – 560 001.

Selection Procedure: Selection of candidates shall be made in the order of merit on the basis of the aggregate of the marks obtained in the Written Exam and Viva-Voce Test.

How to Apply: Eligible candidates may apply through prescribed application format, duly filled up application along with the required  documents should be kept in a cover super-scribed as “ Application for the post of District Judge” and submitted by tendering it in the office of the Registrar General, Principal Bench, High Court of Karnataka, Bangalore-560 001, or by Registered Post, so as to reach the office of the  Registrar General, Principal Bench, High Court of Karnataka, Bangalore-560 001 on or before 31-12-2012.
